For armour applications, ACG Primco Limited offer a wide range of prepregs based on reinforcements prepared from fibres such as E Glass or high performance S2 Glass, Aramid, Nylon, and HDPE. These prepregs utilise proprietary Phenolic, Epoxy or Polyester formulations, and are impregnated with a low resin content capable of providing a semi-structural component which has a controlled delamination on impact, thus affording the maximum stopping power from a lightweight panel.

Typical applications for these prepregs include a wide range of Combat Helmets, rigid Body Armour, Vehicle Armour for military or civilian personnel, Bank Counters and Door structures for secure buildings or aircraft, Spall Liners and Aircrew Seating. Panels produced from these prepregs can be combined with ceramic or steel to provide extremely high levels of protection.

Prepregs are available for where the application dictates low flammability, smoke and toxic gas emissions.
